Welcome
Established in 1998, Pathfinder Systems Australia's conception followed ongoing problems faced by the NSW railways who needed to install tactile indicators on high traffic platforms with limited down time.
The only available systems at the time were disruptive, time consuming, interfered with the rail services, increased cost during installation, with some products not performing adequately in the harsh conditions.
Pathfinder Systems Australia recognised the need for a simpler, more effective system to be developed to cope with the needs and criteria facing NSW railways, whose upgrading program meant mandatory inclusion of Tactile Ground Surface Indicators (TGSI) in hazardous public areas, with minimal disruption to everyday use of railway stations.
